Do you want to remove the text "search" in front of a searchfield? Macro <<search>> results in text: "search" and a searchfield.. If you simply want to remove the text "search" you can create a tiddler (zzConfigOptions) and tag it with "systemConfig". Write: config.macros.search.label=""; Save and reload.
