Ok, so why don't we try and get this done w/o fET? Here's what I take from your setup:
A) You have topics tagged "theme" or "tema" or preferably "topic" excluding those with certain other tags, e.g. 'archived' B) Then you have comments linking to those topics via a field called "root" which points to the topic tiddler. C) Eventually you want a list of all topics sorted by C1) their own modified date (if they have no comments) or C2) the modified date of the last comment Is that it? Then check this out... http://topicsbydate.tiddlyspot.com Feel free to suggest improvements to the script...
