Thanks a lot for the exhaustive reply! Good to be reminded of the
TiddlyWeb backend and what it is actually capable of.

As for TiddlyWeb my biggest problem is it's hosting requirements and
thus associated costs. I don't much fancy merely playing around with
it locally. So, I guess whenever the moment should arrive for me to
actually run and design my own site, I'll consider a python
environment and cron jobs and what not to be part of it ...and follow
all the baby-footsteps others have left behind growing with
TiddlyWeb. ;o)
