Again, if you are not using Internet Explorer - for which there should be no reason other than you being forced to be using it - you CAN embed images into tiddlywiki, which is especially meaningful for icons of a small size such as favicons. What AttachFilePlugin does is merely to provide for certain fallback solutions. That is, if it can't get the remote image, it takes the local one, if it can't get that, it takes the base64 encoded data ...if that's the right cascade.
