First question: I installed the Externalize plugin and It's All Text plugin for FF and have it sort of working to edit a tiddler in TextPad (where I have a lot of cool macros). When I click "externalize" to edit a tiddler, after a pause I get a popup error: "It's all text ! extension wasn't available. Try to fire it manually with htokey or button. If it works, adapt your configuration (increase max waiting time or change hotkey) and try again." The tiddler then opens in regular edit mode in tiddlywiki. At that point I can press my hotkey and it will open in the editor and when I save, the changes appear in tiddlywiki. I read the instructions and checked the settings both in the ff plugin and in the tw plugin and can't seem to figure out the issue. Does anyone know of any common mistakes I could be making? Note my FF version is 3.6.1.0 and TW version is 2.6.1.
Second question: It would also be nice if I could get Externalize to open a tiddler in a different editor depending on how the tiddler is tagged. For example 1. open the tiddler in EditPad as a ".js" file in EditPad (because I have text formatting rules set up in EditPad) if it is tagged "javascript" & "code" 2. open the tiddler in Excel as ".xls" if it's tagged "excel" 3. open the tiddler in XML spy if it's tagged "xml" etc. Does anyone know how to do this in Externalize or through any other method?
