I would think, if it is for your own space, you should reactivate evaluated parameters for the time being up until there is an official solution as for how to avoid using them.
Other than that, whether or not evalify migt prvide you with a solution somewat depends on where exactly the above code is being used... which I wouldn't know as I haven't yet had a use for QuickEditPlugin, although it looks nice.
