Hi whatever, As for the bug(s) in SimpleRolesPlugin ...looks like on startup the username is not yet necessarily available to be processed by plugins. On the other hand, I carelessly omitted a required second parameter when using the array.splice method... an error for which Firefox is somewhat forgiving, yet IE and Opera are not.
I have updated the plugin as well as the documentation (please read). It is now simpler to use and no longer requires HideWhenPlugin... http://tobibeer.tiddlyspace.com/#SimpleRoles Give it a shot and let me know if you find any other creepy crawlies.
