That SHOULD be possible by configuring your systems java .policy file. The changes needed are specfic to your system, so I can't really provide any detailed instruction on this. > 2. Can I set something so that one TW copy makes it's own cookie for > the author signature and another - one more cookie [and in fact they > would "remember" different names of author]? Most browsers consider "file:" to be a single, *common* domain. Thus, all cookies stored for locally-accessed TW documents will share the same settings. Of course, if a document is hosted remotely (i.e, on a different domain), it will have separate settings associated with that domain. Another aspect of cookie-based settings that can be problematic, is that the settings are bound to the *browser*, not the document itself. One solution to this is: http://www.TiddlyTools.com/#CookieSaverPlugin which 'echoes' the cookie-based settings by automatically writing the equivalent javascript initialization statements in a tiddler tagged with "systemConfig". These statements are then applied during the normal TW startup process, so that the tiddler-based settings are applied, and the corresponding local cookie values (which are still stored) are ignored. note: I also recommend: http://www.TiddlyTools.com/#CookieManagerPlugin which provides a compact form for reviewing, modifying and/or deleting all current cookie-based TW settings (even ones set 'internally' by sliders, tabsets, etc.) -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "TiddlyWiki" group.
