I use Eric's StyleSheetShortcuts tiddler in my StyleSheet like this
[[StyleSheetShortcuts]]
In that tiddler there is a lot of goodies. For your question to center
an image in a tiddler you type:
{{center{[img[nameoftheimage.png]]}}}
