One more note on this.... It have to reload the page twice in order to see the changes (kiosk mode on/off). After I hit the reload I am prompted to enter the username (I set this up on the pageTemplate) but the mode doesn't change. The second time around after reloading the change is applied.
I tried it locally and over http.
