I've seen this request come up a few times in the past... and I
completely see the desire to save changes without having to exit edit
mode and re-enter it to keep editing - losing your place as well.

Took me a dozen combinations or so of search terms to hit on the right
path... "save tiddler while editing" was how I finally found the
threads below.  Had I not *known* there was such a plugin, I might
have given up looking! "Save and keep editing" is a perfect match for
the subject line of the second thread.

(QuickSavePlugin, with quickSaveTiddler set as the "+" command in the
toolbar, to allow for shortcut access - save and close would then
become ctrl+enter, then esc.)

I don't have first hand experience with either plugin, but hopefully
one of them works for you.  I'll probably go grab the latest
QuickSavePlugin now that you've reminded me about it.
