if you leave out the width value (e.g., "^^") or just use a single ^, then it will use automatic width by default. Note that, in some situations, the slider width may be limited to the width of the containing element or part of the floating slider may be clipped off. In those circumstances, tweaks to the CSS for the containing element are often helpful.
