Hi axelm, I don't have an answer, but a suggetsion. I use tiddlytools GotoPlugin[1] a lot.
eg: I have some tiddlers named test.abc test.xyz ... I just type "text." and get a list of all tests. or ".jpg" lists pictures. ... or even other things: like StyleSheetTw .. just type "ttw" and get a very short list or if I want to have all StyleSheets i can type "les" which matches all Sty_leS_heets.
