OK, so it seems that this functionality has not made it into the core,
and I'm guessing given this message, it's not going to. [Probably for
lots of good reasons. Some, not I (I know zip in this area), may
dispute 'good'. Not relevant to this thread / not starting a flame war
here.]

Request: Mayhaps the lack of save as should be impossible to miss as
part of tiddlywiki download / intro to tiddlywiki / something? Maybe
in that area should be 'recommended plugins for new users' or some
such thing.

OK, read this far, followed the links, not working, heart attack, come
back to article ... ok. Still a chance, keep reading, following the
instructions, like I should have in the first place ...

DOH! (-:

SideNote: Following the above, and having previously installed the
ImportTiddlersPlugin as recommended in another thread, the plugin came
in prefixed with %23. Bugette? Looks like my copy/paste of the url
munged the # into a %23. Sadly.

Thank you very much, for being here, for taking the time to write
this, for making the code.

Sadly, it doesn't obviously work for me.

Guess I didn't mention enough details - win 7, chrome. [Also, since
time of original writing, have put the old disks into a different
machine and am up and running with them. Only challenge is to save the
modified tw file back to the drive. So, for example, I've remapped the
drive letters to go back to where they should be. {And now Chrome is -
really- confused.}]

Dragging 'save to clipboard' to the address bar, or clicking it,
reveals:

Javascript
cannot load source file
copy tiddler "store area" only?
OK Cancel

I click ok, go into notepad, Ctrl-V ... nothing.

Top right corner:
     close
Loading TiddlyWiki code from
file:///X:/myhome/mytw/mytw.html

=====
Sorry for this coming extended length, but perhaps it will be useful.

At some point I somehow got tw to save to the local drive. It was 2
days ago, so I don't remember the details.

Just now, before remembering that [had I done so / recognized
successful saves, a path forward would have be to reopen the network
drive version, and selectively import from the local version to the
net version. Sadly, this is hindsight.]

I noticed the .jar file was not in this local disk directory. So I
copied it there. (Double-clicking did nothing useful. Failed to load
main class manifest attribute from <file> ...

Double-clicking the .html (old, saved, local disk copy of tw, having
renamed it tw2), the file auto-opened in Firefox (not chrome, sadly,
oops), and gives: It appears that this TiddlyWiki has been incoreectly
saved. Please see http://www.tiddlywiki.com/#Download for details.
[Not surprising, even if irritating - i.e. problem not magically
fixed.]

But I copy the url from firefox to chrome (chrome doesn't have a
file / open menu entry *&%*&%(*&^), to a repeat of the error. [The
point of this is to try to get the .jar loaded.]

Now ... going back to my original, now modified, good tw:

Top right corner:
     close
Loading TiddlyWiki code from
file:///X:/myhome/mytw/mytw.html

Gets another line -
218296 bytes copied to clipboard.

[Good, progress being made.]

Sadly, however, go into notepad, Ctrl-V ... zilch.

Also sadly, given various bits of documentation, 'save as' in chrome
isn't going to get me anywhere. Nor, I presume, is 'view source'.
-----
As part of working through this message, I put both <<saveAs>> and
<<SaveToClipboard>> in my Main Menu.
Both show: 'Error in macro' before it.

I'm guessing this is another bit where the loss of the networked .jar
file has left calls these macros make unresolvable.
=====

Suggestions, ideas?

Summary: Looks like stuff is in the clipboard, but Ctrl-V reveals
nothing.
