Hi,
for some time I am following tiddlywiki and I would like to help
improve some of its documentation and code. So I would like to put up
a bounty for somebody (or a group) to write and publish documentation
on the tiddlywiki server adaptor mechanism.
Specifically I am looking for:
1. An overview of the server adaptor mechanism, including the
function of workspaces and tiddlers.
2. A description of the api of the server adaptor mechanism.
3. A description of the interaction between formatters and the server
adaptor mechanism (e.g. the mediawiki adaptor etc.).
4. A description of the use and function of all the tiddlywiki server
fields (server.host, server.type, ...).
5. Example implementations of server adaptors, comparable to the
tiddlyweb adaptor. Specifically I am looking for at least three
different sample adaptors (and their documentation).
1) a sample adaptor using local functions
(e.g. http://jimpick.com/test/clientside-storage.html
http://github.com/jpick/tiddlywiki-clientside-storage/tree/master
or an adaptor calling backbone.js)
2) a sample adaptor for couchdb
(http://blog.unclephil.net/tag/TiddlyWiki ,
http://unclephil.couchone.com/tiddlycouch/_design/tiddlycouch/_list/tiddlywiki/tiddlers
, https://github.com/saqimtiaz/TiddlyCouch )
3) a sample adaptor using http GET/POST (similar to the tiddlyweb
adaptor, but not using DELETE and PUT methods. implies that
POST methods uses parameters like /wks/tiddler?a=create to
create a tiddler).
These sample implementations need not be fully programmed as
already part of the adaptors exist! What is needed are documented
samples.
The bounty is euro 300 for the complete documentation. A requirement
is that the documentation is public on tiddlyspace or in the
tiddlywikibook on wikimedia and under a permissive license. If
somebody wants to do part of the work, the bounty can be split.
Please contact me to discuss the specifics. Email contact by:
twbounty, then the at sign, h-rd.org .
