I understand your affection for TiddlyWiki, and your frustration with the extensive tweaking required to make it useful, and with the necessity of becoming more-than-conversant with the underlying technology. Fortunately, I have reached a level of satisfaction and stability with an adaptation of Morris Gray's TWT-Executive TiddlyWiki that I no longer need to do much tweaking. That is doubly fortunate, since in my persistence in seeking help from the group about a year ago with a problem that was beyond my capabilities I managed to make myself unwelcome on the list to the point that my requests for help are ignored. Of necessity I've started to look elsewhere. An application -- actually a family of applications -- in which I've invested is DEVONthink. http://www.devon-technologies.com/products/devonthink/ It is nothing like TiddlyWiki -- is anything? -- but you may find it relevant to your needs. There are many users who are using it for purposes similar to yours. It has good documentation and users forums that are very helpful.
