I thought about a mechanism, that looks if readOnly mode is active,
and switches to "rendering only" mode. I think buttons near an
equation or inside the text, look ugly. I'd prefere a "global
setting", that an editor can activate, so editing will be possible for
all equations. A second possibility would be a macro parameter, to
overwrite the "global setting".  ...

TW edit mode is a plain text editor. And mixing plain text editing and
mathquill editing within the same editor won't be simple.

It is possible, to have a <<tiddler>> transclusion inside the same
tiddler, that holds the slice and section, using some transclusion
magic. So if you delete a tiddler, all equations are gone with the
tiddler.

May be, but at the moment I don't have an idea, writing the stuff
needed to make it a smooth experience.
