I thought about a mechanism, that looks if readOnly mode is active, and switches to "rendering only" mode. I think buttons near an equation or inside the text, look ugly. I'd prefere a "global setting", that an editor can activate, so editing will be possible for all equations. A second possibility would be a macro parameter, to overwrite the "global setting". ...

TW edit mode is a plain text editor. And mixing plain text editing and mathquill editing within the same editor won't be simple. > Although with this scheme if the user later deletes the > transclude or the tiddler there will be many of these unused equation > tiddlers floating around. ... It is possible, to have a <<tiddler>> transclusion inside the same tiddler, that holds the slice and section, using some transclusion magic. So if you delete a tiddler, all equations are gone with the tiddler. > .. A nice way would be to make the edit mode of > a tiddler inherently support equation writing. May be, but at the moment I don't have an idea, writing the stuff needed to make it a smooth experience. -m -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "TiddlyWiki" group.
