I did several "example plugins" [1] that exactly show, how to create
buttons and use them as macros or within Templates.
Inline script plugin is great, for fast prototyping and proof of
concept. But I think, you should start to create TW plugins.
Have a look at them in this order:
HelloWorldButtonPlugin
HelloWorldNamedParamsPlugin
HelloWorldManyParamsPlugin
