Perhaps the other 5% can be found in the GotoPlugin. If you start typing it will suggest the tiddler titles with the text you have entered so far. If you select one it will open it, if you use search for it will search for that string in titles and text and if you hit enter on one that does not exist it will create a new tiddler.
Also GotoPlugin can be limited to tiddlers with a particular tag (unfortunately only one) and when you create a new tiddler through this method the new tiddler will not get the filter tag assigned. GotO Plugin is one of my essential tools with a set of filtered goto field always waiting in my sidebar.
