Thanks, Alexandre. The block of code I posted above is the complete
code of the plugin. The only thing missing is the //{{{ at the top
and //}}} at the bottom to render it in monospace text. The perplexing
thing is that the

alert("hello");

would have an effect on whether the plugin works properly.
