I have recently begun to migrate anRPG goup's DokuWiki to a more user- friendly TW in a dropbox and wanted to have a "Start" link that displays the recent journals and closes all other tiddlers.
http://www.tiddlytools.com/#OpenTaggedTiddlers fits this description nicely, however, I always get a pop-up window asking if I really want to open the x named tiddlers.
