Interesting that you'd work on this the other way too :-) One of the things on my next feature list is a datepicker. Yet, I haven't quite made up my mind about that yet especially when it comes to not overly bloating or customizing the existing triple of DatePlugin, CalenderPlugin and ReminderMacros for the sake of inline editability via some mgsd style datepicker and a better approach to manage recurrence. I always felt like these three plugins need to be put together into a single entity... looking ar code complexity and considering possible loss of compatibility... this seema a difficult undertaking.
