Hi Mario, I guess that´s not an application but rather the method which Niklas Luhman - a German scientist in the field of systems theory - called his "Zettelkasten", litterally revolving around little notes organized and related in a well defined / presistent way. Wouldn't know what the basic (/ most important) principles are though - but I guess there aren't that many of them.
