I'm very new to Tiddlywiki and I'm, I think, a typical end user. I tried to
search the posts for answers but between all the different versions maybe
I've lost a bit the overall view.
So some questions remained:

   - Currently, do I have the possibility to use one of the three
Tiddlywikis (As far I know Tiddlywiki, Tiddlywiki5, Tiddlewiki5 in the Sky)
standalone without Java, not restricted to one special browser and offline?
As far I've read Tiddlywiki needs Java or Tiddlyfox (+Firefox) to be
standalone, Tiddlywiki5 is still very alpha and Tiddlywiki5 in the Sky
   needs to be online, correct?
   - In this post
   (https://groups.google.com/d/msg/TiddlyWikiDev/EUP5KAK69-U/6l54bzIYvqcJ) it
seems that development is focusing on Tiddlywiki5 in the Sky, is this still
   valid?

I'm asking because, because when I discovered Tiddlywiki it attracted me
because it was standalone and didn't need any further components. Now it
seems this "standalone" aspect takes a back seat. I know the reasons why
Tiddlywiki doesn't work standalone in modern browsers. My hope layed on
Tiddlywiki5 but I don't know whether the development is going on or is
suspended in favor of the cloud version.

Thanks
Matidio
