Hi all, Lurker for years, first time poster here.
I use TW a.o. to save fragments of text within html-tags. These sometime contain special characters like 'fancy' quotes, *“”* instead of *""*, the ellipsis, *…*, which is one character, instead of *...* which are three periods, or the m-dash, *—*. Also →, ← and so on. These get saved fine and are retained when you open the file again. However they don't get retained in the backups. The quotes simply disappear. The m-dash gets replaced by an ampersand (&) and the arrows by a white ? in a black diamond. This effectively makes the backups useless. Anyone an idea what causes this behavior or better still, how to prevent it?
