The only thing that was changed in the TWCore from 270 to 271 was the version of jQuery. This was done because the previous jQuery code contained an improperly encoded character. However, this should have NO effect on file I/O handling within TW. What version of TiddlyFox are you using? There were some updates done to address some encoding issues. Perhaps you are still using an older revision?
