I have been trying to conceptualize how to use TW as a time tracker without much success. It just may not be a suitable tool or I just don't understand it well enough or only possible in TW5.
Imagine a TW already populated with projects and tasks and it's the start of a new day. Since no task is active one would open a project tiddler and select from a list. Then a task would be selected from a list. This immediately logs the time and the task is active. To stop work on the task and stop tracking time, one clicks on the task. To stop work on the task and start on another, one selects a new project or a new task. In either case time is logged. Delta time is accumulated for the ending task. Start time is stored for the new task. Once multiple tasks are 'logged' clicking on any logged task stops the active task (accumulating delta time) and starts the clicked task. If this functionality is possible then post operations like summary by day, project or task would be fairly straight forward. Comments and opinions are solicited! ~GeoD -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "TiddlyWiki" group.
