That's still an open question.

One answer would be to add another toolbar button to the top right of each
tiddler. I'm against that, as I feel that a proliferation of toolbar icons
makes TW look too busy and complicated. One other option might to be to
include it with other additional toolbar buttons in the tiddler info slider.

I have been thinking that all the poking around closing tiddlers that is so
often needed in TW classic is actually a design flaw. I think a variant of
single page mode is part of the answer (see the latest experiments with the
zoomin view on the Tools menu of TW5). Another part might be to extend the
act of clicking a link to a tiddler to be a two phase operation: first the
target tiddler appears as a popup, and then you can choose to continue the
operation to "tear off" the tiddler as a new tiddler in the story in it's
own right, or to pull back, so that the popup disappears. In this way you'd
be able to provisionally browse a link before committing to adding it to
the story. Imagine dragging the tiddler out of a link, and watching it snap
back if you haven't dragged it far enough.

I don't think I've yet got a good final answer to all of this - part of the
purpose of TW5 is to give a good basis for future UX experiments like this.

Best wishes

Jeremy
