Hello, I'm using TW 2.8.1 with FireFox 24.0.
I've been getting the following error message when exiting a tiddler (auto save = on): [Exception... "Component returned failure code: 0x8052000e (NS_ERROR_FILE_IS_LOCKED) [nsIFileOutputStream.init]" nsresult: "0x8052000e (NS_ERROR_FILE_IS_LOCKED)" location: "JS frame :: chrome://tiddlyfox/content/overlay.js :: <TOP_LEVEL> :: line 98" data: no] This locks-up my TW and when I close it and re-open, I've lost the new contents of the tiddler. I've found a very rough work-around that seems to work. 1) Copy another TW (e.g empty.html) into the same directory 2) Open it and edit a tiddler (no need to change anything in it) and close it 3) Now try and exit the tiddler on the original "locked" TW This works for me. Sorry if this isn't news, but I didn't find it when I searched the group. If any developers read this, I don't think I had this issue before I installed (and then promptly uninstalled) Chrome. Could be a coincidence, due to some plugin or other too. I don't get this message every time I edit a tiddler, but I haven't yet noticed what does trigger the error. Anyway, if someone is having this issue and doesn't want to lose their work, try these steps before you consider follicle deracination.
