With DataTiddlerPlugin there is a FormTiddlerPlugin, which lets you create
an editable form. So if you want to modify the data and save it to the
TiddlyWiki (not the server) this would be an option.

If you need a "read only" view IMO a conversion to a standard tiddler would
be easier / less work :)

With TW, most of the time there are several approaches. That's why we need
to find out, what you really need ;)

a) Is there a public discription, how the URL has to be created. eg: A
developer http - API
I'm sure you want to read several records at once, so a plugin would need
to know, how to build the request URL

b) Many backends also offer a JSON representation of there data. If there
is a JSON API, it will _dramatically reduce_ the complexity of the plugin.

I figure there might be some javascript involved. I've never used

Yes, there will be some js involved :)

If you need to edit your data and save it back to the TW file, a
possibility could be similar to this:
[1]
http://www.giffmex.org/bibblywiki.html#%5b%5bWright%2C%20N.T.%2C%20Jesus%20and%20the%20Victory%20of%20God%5d%5d

- Wich needs to parse the data
- Transform it to a data tiddler spcific format
- Create the template forms to view and/or edit them
- probably some more steps ...

If you "view" the above tiddler content [1], you'll see the data tiddler
"specific" format.
IMO it's not human readable, so If you need to display dynamic content it
will be more work to adjust the forms.

---------------

A second possibility would be something like this:
[2] http://geneology.tiddlyspot.com/#Me

- You'll need to parse the data
- Transform it to wikitext
- Editing can be done out of the box using wikitext

If you view the content [2], you'll see it uses the TiddlyWiki syntax.
There is no problem, if the data record changes, since no form templates
are needed to display them.

PRNumber could be the tiddler title since it is unique - right? IMO it
would be nice to have a human readable title.
Keywords could be used as tags.
All attributes, that are not part of the TW text could be stored as TW
custom fields. So no info is lost :)

A parsed tiddler content could be like this: (You can copy/paste the
content below into a tiddler to see the result)

! 12345

|''Phone:'' |123-456-7890 |
|''Submitter:'' |Bruce Seely |
|''State:'' |approved |

!! Comment

Text description.

....

I hope, this shows some of the possibilities.

have fun!
