Some pros and cons that reflect my opinion.

TWc works out of the box and there are a lot of plugins, to extend the
functionality. You'll probably find plugins for any usecase. There is quite
some documentation for TWc. tiddlywiki.org may be an additional option.

TW5 works out of the box but there are allmost no plugins at the moment. So
you have to use, the core functions. On the other hand TW5 has a lot of
basic functions, that needed 3rd party plugins in TWc. eg: encryption.

TW5 is still alpha but imo very close to beta :) Which means "braking
changes" can and probably will happen. So be prepared to refactor _some_
content :)

The TW5 markup (syntax) is slightly different to TWc syntax. But your basic
knowledge will work for both. eg: Tiddler links, transclusion mechanism ...

Theming and plugin mechanism for TW5 is completely new. So if you have a
"strange" usecase, you'll probably need to wait until someone creates a
plugin :)

TW5 has tiddler encryption out of the box. (I did mention that :)

With TW5 you can drag and drop picture files into the TW. They will be
stored with the TW.
 - _In my opinion_ this is a bad idea, since the TW will be bloated.
 - But for some small pics ~100-200kByte it will work well and can be sent
as a single file to friends and family.

With TW5 you can drag and drop tiddlers from one TW to an other.

TW5 uses the "new browser save" mechanism. So it should be possible to save
with every browser. TiddlyFox plugin for FireFox extends the save
mechanism, which makes saving easier.

With TWc local file saving works best with FireFox.

have fun!
