Hi Jim One of the features that will be added during the beta is full support for the browser back and forward buttons; you'll be able to use them to navigate back through the tiddlers you've visited.
In the meantime, you may be able to use the "zoomin" view (you can switch in the "Tools" tab) -- closing a tiddler in that view returns to the previous tiddler (most of the time; it's a bit more complicated than that).
