Yes, but it's the same when you have two (or more) fields with the same value, both strings or both numbers, and the sort is based only on this field. In my example you noticed it because in the mixed mode the values are the same, but written in different mode. If I had printed the titles instead the "val" fields, probably you would not have noticed immediately and it's correct so because of the same weight of the tiddlers for the filter. If this is not enough, you can improve the filter by filtering on multiple fields, so you can keep the code of the module easier.
