I spent many hours on the two methods above, and even FiltrPlugin. In ForEach, there are problems with my custom (string) dates, which are showing as undefined.
I just could not get the syntax for core list with match tags right. I probably won't pursue the avenue of Filtr because not only is there an error parsing the date string (no method) but it only allows one custom field, and I have two (start_date and end_date). I have to find a simpler way to do what I need. I think that i will have to move my site to a TW5.
