OK, sorry. I am using TW 5.0.8-beta. I'm using the standalone file with no plugins or customizations. I don't have that TW with me so I'll have to wait to post the exact error and code but it happened when typing two exclamation marks inside one list widget and before starting another nested list to make it a heading. The error causes a red rectangular box to open in TW5 and it says there is an Internal Javascript Error. That tiddler didn't have anything in it except a the nested lists. The error is such that it will not allow me to open a tiddler in edit mode to remove the offending characters. The only way I can find to get a usable TW again is to open the html file in a text editor and search for the offending characters, the "!!" and remove them. Once removed, all is well again when I open the TW5 in a browser. I know I screwed the lists up and caused the error and I can fix that. My question is whether closing the wiki and using the text editor is the suggested way to fix this or is there a better way? Thanks again and sorry for the confusion.
