I've been playing around a lot with simpletree. The only "problem" I'm 
aware of with numbered lists is that numbers are displayed instead of 
bullets (as with unordered lists), so you can't see whether a list item has 
more list items underneath it; you have to click on every item to try to 
expand it.  But that's just the result of using numbers and not bullets. I 
think you might be able to change that with some CSS templating.

What exactly is the problem that you're having?
