Hola Danielo,

Hello Alberto,

Your native language is also mine :)

But why people insist in using special characters in file and folder names?

I just insist in using my own language, because:

   1. its my own stuff and I prefer to use the names that are more
   meaningful to me (and are correctly written);
   2. as a user, I do not experiment so many problems with accented
characters (at least in GNU/Linux) to be really conscious of how much
harder it makes everything for IT guys and related; (sorry guys! :-(
   3. even if most of the people/companies who created modern computers and
software are native English speakers, I see no reason why ITs should be
english only; why Spanish, German, Turkish, Indian and Korean people should
not be able to use their own language for their own stuff?

And if everything is harder for IT guys when using non-english characters,
maybe it's not users problem nor even IT guys (and related) problem, but a
problem of the structures of the IT world.

I'm sure Jeremy will fix it, but in my opinion is a bad practice.

I'm aware of the problem so I can avoid it, for instance using symbolic
links, but other users less experienced could not understand where the
problem is and how to avoid it. And it would be great if Spanish, German,
Turkish, Indian and Korean people could use TW without facing that kind of
problem.

I understand you, and I'm sure you can understand other people who are
sensible about using their own language since their have suffered it in the
past (you know the case of Galician, Catalan and Basque people, among
others) or are now suffering it.

Saludos y gracias por todo lo que estás haciendo por TW, te lo estás
currando!

Alberto
