Hi Jon

I think I'm stuck then as I've no idea what's causing the problem.

What's really needed is a selective import process, and a proper upgrade
process.

In the meantime you can gain precisely the same end result by selectively
deleting tiddlers in the 5.0.8 wiki before you upgrade it.

Either way, you'll need to figure out which customisations are preventing
things from working.

First thing to check is whether you've overridden any shadow tiddlers. Look
at the more->shadows list and open any tiddlers whose title is not in bold
- those are the tiddlers that have been overridden. Just flick them to edit
mode and delete them in order to restore the underlying shadow tiddler.
Then save changes and attempt your import again.

Best wishes

Jeremy.
