Hi Jon That behaviour is by design. At startup, TiddlyWiki opens the tiddlers listed in $:/DefaultTiddlers (you can edit that tiddler easily via control panel). If you'd prefer that the same tiddlers are displayed as when you last saved, just set $:/DefaultTiddlers to "[list[$:/StoryList]]".
