That's how saving works in Chrome, I'm afraid. It's a clumsy process but it has the advantage of working in any HTML5-compliant browser. You can slightly improve the user experience by visiting Chrome settings and selecting to "prompt for the location of each download". With that setting on, each time you click "save", the browser will prompt with a file save box so that you can select your existing HTML file and overwrite it. But you can avoid these problems by using Firefox with the TiddlyFox extension or TiddlyDesktop (see tiddlywiki.com for links), both of which let you seamlessly save changes without prompts. There's also the TWEdit app for iOS and the AndTidWiki app for Android. Best wishes Jeremy.
