Hi

Should be straightforward using a data dictionary. Assuming a colour 
dictionary with the title 'Colours' containing entries like the following:

highlight:c16c6c
important:f21f1f 
...

Then refer to these values in the stylesheet with {{Colours##highlight}} 
and {{Colours##important}}
