Hi I found a small bug in the <$mangletags> widget, I suggest updating to the latest version: http://gwiz.tiddlyspot.com
My logic was faulty -- this effects only the find and replace option, and only when the 'tags' field of the target tiddler is empty. The tag in the 'add=' attribute was added despite the absence of the tag in the 'find=' attribute.
