[This thread will hopefully boil down to a complete guide on how to get TW5 nodejs working on Tiddlyspot - but for now, "step-by-step" refers to my documented attempts and questions.]
In another <https://groups.google.com/forum/?fromgroups=#!topic/tiddlywiki/_UVGBufswpg> thread, I got a helpful and hopeful start (thanx, guys!) on how to get TW5 nodejs to work on Tiddlyspot. I get some things to work but I have difficulty in drawing conclusions to define a reliable/repeatable process, so please help. My aim is to put up TW5 themes on Tiddlyspot for anyone to use. Here are my steps and missteps, please comment I'm on Win 8, FF31 1) I go to tiddlyspot.com and set up a basic vanilla TWC account ( tw5-a.tiddlyspot.com) 2) I go to tiddlywiki.com and download an empty TW5 3) as per instructions in tiddler "Installing TiddlyWiki on Node.js" on tiddlywiki.com, I make sure I have the "node.js" installed. 4) ...and used to initiate my new TW ...and here comes my first question: Does this make sense at all? Is there a way to put the tiddlerfolder (for the individual tiddlerfiles) on Tiddlyspot? (I do believe there is a folder per TW on tiddlyspot used for backups, no? ...and, @Simon Baird, a) would that be ok if it works? b) if it doesn't work, is it possible to make it work c) ...and, if yes, would you be willing to make it so? </@> A general question; could the TW "system" be in one place (e.g tiddlyspot) and the tiddler folder in another place? (Is that a TW question or a nodejs question?) For instance, would it be possible to set up a great theme (i.e a full TW with some theme modifications) on tiddlyspot but keep my tiddlers in a local folder so that I run the tiddlyspot file but it picks up the content locally? Thank you! <:-) -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "TiddlyWiki" group.
