Sorry, I posted on the other thread with the same advice before reading 
this. Of course, you could write a little script to do the replacing 
(although the rules would need to be a bit more complicated, I think) and 
just run it periodically. There's always a way, but of course, you can 
sometimes waste more time figuring things out than you save through having 
done so.

As Mario says...

Or somebody may add the functionality you really want with a plugin.
