sounds interesting I see a spanning tree (one widget per tiddler) of the network, each widget would listen for changes in tiddlers that it depends upon and recalc its value (edit its tiddler), which would cause (through the update mechanism) other widgets to change value of their tiddlers, and so on until (hopefully) the values would settle down. Any tiddlers from the network that are displayed in the story could alter colour like you suggest.
