I did see KaTeX, but only tweeted about it rather than posting to the group.

It's *exactly* what we need in TW5. Unlike jsMath it works properly under
Node.js, and the API is waaaaay simpler and nicer.

I'll make a plugin for it after the release. The only challenge is that
they ship with ~800KB of font files. Rather than loading the plugin with
all of that weight, I think we need to figure out a sensible subset of the
fonts to include in the main plugin, and then ship a separate plugin with
the optional fonts.
