Dickon: I can confirm it works on Dropbox (as a "heavy user) and I believe 
I've seen other posts that it works on google as well.  Jeremy's hint about 
folder locations is probably correct since I recall the meaaage you've 
gotten from times when I've been careless about opening the downloaded 
file, getting the question about wanting to allow updates and then moving
