Hi Steve, If you download an 'empty' version the banner is not there. If you download a 'full' version the banner is there. I think it is a bug; I'll create a ticket.
To get rid of the banner: Find $:/editions/tw5.com/EditTemplate/Sources and delete it. Now the banner is gone.
