I'm having a hard time with some of the examples used in the demo TiddlyWiki, most especially things like templates, DateFormat, and ViewWidget and Transclusion in WikiText. The DateFormat tiddler doesn't really have examples, it's just plain text. The ViewWidget doesn't have examples, period. The TemplateTiddlers tiddler is something I'm working on to include real examples, and haven't yet been successful with the TranscludeWidget walkthrough.
What I really want to do (for now), is find out the how the code is written for the current date to display on a tiddler. It should be easy, but I'm getting lost in template discussions, and not understanding how transclusions work (braces?). I've not found samples elsewhere for the current version of TiddlyWiki. Point one-please give example code of current date (DDth MMM YYY) into a tiddler so ViewWidget can parse it. Point two-please provide links for tutorials on the current version of TiddlyWiki-I've tried macros for the older TiddlyWikis, and they don't seem to work (javascript errors). Point three-please show me where to help out with my own example documentation tiddlers for the newest TiddlyWiki. I'm writing examples anyway to show how to modify my wiki for others to do the same.
