That's simply not right. A button is first and foremost a functionality rather than a mere ui element, a thing you click to trigger an action. Leave the ui to a designer, at least allow those guys to do their magic freely without being forced to worry about changing defaults. This discussion is pretty much the same as the one I read yesterday about "just don't extend dom globals"... unless you know what you're sacrificing.
